These Six Sea Sponges Have Something to Say About Climate Change (ANIMAL STAGE)

Part of “The Animal Stage” at the Spaghetti Festival: Creature-themed Work-in-Process theater and comedy appearing throughout the fest inside The Vault, our new second stage.

Six dying sea sponges are given a platform to talk about their lives, their loves, and how they feel being at the bottom of a rapidly warming ocean. Created in response to a New York Times article of the same name, These Six Sea Sponges reflects on the nature of eco media and the tactics used to convince a rapidly disenfranchised public that there are more lives at stake than our own.

A work-in-progress!
